The Trees That Sing
I grew up in an old house on the edge of a village in Leicestershire framed by two huge beech trees so close to the house they made the interior walls go up and down depending how wet or dry the year was. My father took the view the house had survived for 250 years with the trees so it would be fine for a bit longer. Eventually the house was sold, the trees removed and something was lost, which I’m not sure I’ve ever quite got over.
The idea of my project is to spark a reconnection to the natural environment around us by taking a moment to think about a tree that has some personal connection and through my pictures share the story.
What’s the tree you hold in your heart? We all have one.
